For over a decade I’ve been involved in nonprofit, peer-to-peer fundraising. What started as a way to “pay it forward” as a volunteer, grew into an incredible career raising awareness and funds.
In my time as a nonprofit professional I became increasingly passionate about peer-to-peer fundraising events. I was able to see first hand how these events support important missions, build community and fund life changing research. In collaboration with volunteers, committees and staff we raised millions of dollars and were able to see direct impact.
Through my many roles in nonprofit (volunteer, committee lead, walk director and development director) I learned the importance that relationships play in fundraising. I also saw how these relationships can suffer during staff transitions or at various times throughout your event season.
